路政署表示，大楼机房设置于地库是合理的设计布局。有报道指旅检大楼自今年2月起多次严重漏水。路政署3日回应媒体称，415th of the month，旅检大楼部分地下管线管道在穿线后没有及时封好，导致雨水漏进地库，承建商随后已封好管道。路政署在近日的大雨过后，巡查大楼地库时，并未发现明显渗水情况。

对于有工程师质疑，机房不应设于地库，路政署解释，旅检大楼地库除设置机电设施，还安装了香港口岸的区域冷气系统。冷气系统是把海水冷却后，再经地下管道输送到车辆通关广场建筑群的空调系统，以达到节能目标。therefore，把大楼机房设置于地库是合理设计布局。
路政署称，旅检大楼正在进行验收，路政署会严格验收，确保工程质量达到应有标准，才通过验收程序。
