Port communication莲塘口岸车牌粤港两地车牌申请时间港信通莲塘口岸粤港商务车指标申领条件与深圳湾口岸、沙角头口岸粤港商务车申领条件一样，按照2025年4月15日实施的粤港澳跨境非营运小汽车指标管理工作措施中非粤港澳口岸粤港商务车指标的申领条件办理。
莲塘口岸车牌办理条件分为三种情况：
- 香港企业：以对内地投资为准，符合800万港元投资额和30万人民币年度纳税额的港商
- 内地企业：经核准的国营、民营、collective enterprise，符合5000万注册资金、年销售额和总资产的。
- 个人申请：担任规定级别以上人大代表、政协委员职务的港澳台人士；或者对广东省慈善事业有一定规模贡献的慈善家。莲塘口岸只设有2条小汽车出入境查验通道，通行能力为每日2000架次。受到口岸建设规划的限制，莲塘口岸开放初期只会发放2000个香港车来往内地的私家车两地牌指标。
