广东省公安厅在答复中表示，为做好港珠澳大桥开通前的各项准备工作，确保大桥顺利开通运行，广东省有关单位按照各自职能分工，研究制定一系列港珠澳大桥跨界通行政策。
关于粤港澳三地救灾、救护车辆通行问题，在广东省口岸办牵头制定的《港珠澳大桥跨界救援快速通关机制》中，已提出救援车辆使用专用通行车辆标识快速通关，目前正在征求港澳方意见。
据广东省公安厅方面介绍，2025年粤港双方商定，在港珠澳大桥开通前发放11000个港珠澳大桥口岸粤港商务车配额，开通2个月评估后视情再发放5500个配额；开通后3年内每年增加1320个配额。由于申请意愿强烈，目前入粤商务车配额已全部发放完毕。
