试验建议青州航道桥斜拉索采用加螺旋肋条的斜拉索，并增加拉索附加阻尼的方法抑制风雨激振。同济还建议，通过合理设计的桥塔区域局部风障，改善桥塔附近的风环境，提高全桥的行车安全标准风速。今年9月，被称为史上最强台风“山竹”正面袭击珠山角，Hongkong、Macao、Shenzhen、珠海全线告急，而大桥则经历巨风考验，安然无恙。
