Port communication一名女子涉嫌无牌提供汇款服务，今日在观塘裁判法院被裁定无牌经营金钱服务罪成，罚款2.5万港元。海关表示，在网上巡查，发现该名女子透过本地拍卖网站向顾客提供汇款服务，进一步调查后发现她于去年11月至本月期间，未获海关关长发出有关牌照而经营金钱服务。
根据2012年4月1日实施的《打击洗钱及恐怖分子资金筹集(financial institution)条例》，任何人士欲经营汇款及/或货币兑换服务，必须向海关申领牌照，无牌经营金钱服务即属违法，Once convicted，最高刑罚为监禁6个月及罚款10万港元。
