口岸设计交通量确定为旅客3万人次/日，车辆17850自然车/日，其中货车为1.5万自然车/日，小汽车为2000自然车/日，大巴车为850自然车/日。

Application conditions
：
- 到广东省投资的国外、港澳台商户，其上一年度在我省纳税数额符合以下条件的，可以申办莲塘口岸两地车牌：申办第1辆莲塘口岸两地车牌指标的，上一年度纳税数额须达到15万元以上；申办第2辆莲塘口岸两地车牌指标的，上一年度的纳税数额须达到50万元以上；申办第3辆莲塘口岸两地车牌指标，上一年度的纳税数额须达到100万元以上；从申办第4辆莲塘口岸两地车牌指标起，上一年度的纳税数额每增加100万元即可增办1辆商务车指标，至多不超过15辆。
- 广东省企业上一年度纳税数额达到100万元以上的，可以申办1辆内地入出香港的莲塘口岸两地车牌指标。
- 对企业上一年度纳税数额条件，不再区分山区和非山区，每年年底根据指标使用、口岸通行能力及全省企业纳税平均水平等情况进行调整，上下调整幅度不超过20%。
