莲塘口岸位于罗湖区莲塘街道，而莲塘街道刚好就在梧桐山下，毗邻香港新界打鼓岭，是深圳通往盐田的必经之路。目前正在建设地铁2号线延长线的“莲塘口岸站”。按照规划，项目总用地面积为
- 2公顷，总建筑面积149583平方米，项目总投资约
- 45billion。
口岸设计通行能力为旅客3万人次/日，车辆17850自然车/日：其中货车为15000自然车/日，小汽车为2000自然车/日，大巴为850自然车/日。累计100万元人民币以上，可以申请1辆内地经大桥出港商务车指标。

Application conditions
：
- 上一年度纳税数额达到100万元以上，并已在广东省登记的国有企业、collective enterprise、private enterprise，可以申办1个内地入出香港商务车指标（不予增办）。
- 在广东省登记的金融机构，或在内地登记的金融机构在广东省的分支机构，其上一年度纳税数额达到100万元以上，可以申办1个内地入出香港商务车指标（不予增办）。
