(1)下列人士如果于紧接二零零零年一月一日之前已在香港从事保险中介人业务，并持有以下其中一项资格，可获豁免参加资格考试的试卷(a)、(b)and(c)(视何者适用而定)：(a)于紧接二零零零年一月一日之前的六年内，具有不少于五年可供验证的本地保险业务的相关经验；or(b)由香港保险业联会发出的一般保险业务研习证书。
(2)下列人士可获豁免参加资格考试的试卷(d):(a)持有以下其中一项认可的保险、投资或精算专业资格：(1)特许寿险承保人(C L U)，并须通过其中一张可供选择的C L U资格考试试卷“H S 3 2 8投资”；(2)美国特许财务顾问(C h F C)；(3)Certified Financial Planner(C F P)；(4)英国精算师协会会员(F I A/F A A)6；(5)澳洲精算师学会会员(F I A A)；(6)美国精算师公会会员(F S A)；(7)通过香港证券及投资学会的基本课程考试(F P E)的人士；(8)通过香港证券及投资学会的文凭课程考试(D P E)的人士；(9)香港证券及投资学会从业员资格证书；(1 0)香港证券及投资学会高级从业员资格证书；or(1 1)香港证券及投资学会金融市场专业文凭;或其他保监局认可的资格。
就上文第(i)项，下列条文适用︰(1)保险经纪或其行政总裁如符合有关规定，包括经验方面的规定及上文第(i)(1)至(6)项中任何一项资格方面的规定，则有资格经营或从事一般保险及长期保险（不包括相连长期保险）经纪业务。
(2)保险经纪或其行政总裁如符合有关规定，包括经验方面的规定及上文第(i)(7)至(9)项中任何一项资格方面的规定，则有资格经营或从事一般保险及长期保险（包括相连长期保险）经纪业务。
